Surfing, community & summer vibes in northern Spain
Welcome to Liquid Surfhouse Langre – your surf camp for those aged 18 and over on the north coast of Spain. Consistent Atlantic waves in the line-up, a community of young surfers and nights that are sometimes laid-back, sometimes bustling – it’s this mix that makes Langre so special in summer. During the day, it’s all about sessions, progress in the water and time on the beach. In the evenings, it’s all about shared meals, camp activities and spending time together.
Sunshine and laughter on the terrace, BBQ & sangria specials, trips with the crew or spontaneous music sessions in the garden – this is where Spanish ease and a genuine surf camp vibe come together. And if you want to dive deeper into Spanish nightlife during your stay, we’ll be happy to take you to Somo or Loredo – for good tapas, bars with atmosphere and beats that will keep you dancing until late.

Camp
Our surf camp welcomes everyone who enjoys surfing, action, and a strong community. The focus is on group sessions, inspiring coaching, and nights that just feel good – from barbecues to sangria nights.
In addition to surfing, you can skate, play table tennis, go mountain biking or explore the coast. Regular events and organised excursions ensure that there is always something going on – without you having to commit to anything.
Whether you are travelling alone or with friends, you will quickly meet people at the Surfhouse. In the line-up, at the dinner table or over a drink at the camp bar.
Langre is located on Spain’s wild north coast – known for powerful Atlantic waves, green cliffs and an impressive coastline. Even in high season, there is enough space in the water to work on your surfing skills and really enjoy the waves.
In the nearby towns of Somo and Loredo, you will find surf shops, bars and everything else you need. A real highlight is our organised trip to Santander: tapas, old town vibes, Spanish nights and shared moments with new acquaintances and our camp dream team.
And if you fancy some pure nature in between, you can reach the Picos de Europa in about an hour – perfect for a change of scenery between the line-up and the mountain panorama.
Lodging
You will stay in lovingly furnished, bright rooms with en-suite shower and toilet. Cleanliness, functionality and a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere are our focus – so that you feel at home from the moment you arrive. After surfing, you can relax on the sun terrace or in the garden. In the evening, the camp lounge with sofas, video projector, WiFi and music system invites you to linger, or you can enjoy a cold beer with like-minded people at our surf bar.
Inclusive: bed linen and towels for showering. Bring your own towel for the beach.
There is plenty of free parking behind the house.
Quad room private bath
For up to 4 people
These rooms are a great choice for solo travellers looking to meet new people or groups travelling together. The spacious rooms have en suite bathrooms and plenty of space for luggage, making them perfect for socialising.
If you book a room as a group of fewer than 4 people, you may be sharing it with other guests.
Double room private bath
For up to 2 people
Great for solo travellers, friends or couples. The rooms, equipped with a double bed or two single beds depending on availability, offer you a quiet retreat after an eventful day of surfing.
If you book a twin room on your own, you may share it with another person. A double room (with double bed) can also be booked for single occupancy at an additional cost.
Meals
We believe that good food is just as much a part of a surfing holiday as time in the water. Our chef prepares fresh, varied dishes every day – sometimes regional, sometimes international, always with attention to detail. Whether it’s coffee in the morning sun on the terrace or a drink in the evening at the surf bar, enjoyment is an integral part of camp life here.
Extended half-board
With the extended half-board option, you’ll be well looked after during the day and in the evening. Every morning, you can enjoy a hearty breakfast, where you can also put together a packed lunch for the beach – perfect for a long day of surfing. Six evenings a week (except on excursion days), there is a freshly prepared hot dinner to round off the day in a relaxed atmosphere.
Vegetarian and vegan options are of course available.
Optional: Gluten-free catering € 35 p.p. per week (only for gluten intolerance, not suitable for coeliacs).
Snacks and drinks are available at the camp bar (at an extra charge) – ideal for arriving after your surf session, winding down and enjoying the evening in good company.
Surfing
Our surf courses follow a proven, methodically structured learning concept and are led by licensed coaches. The surf course takes place over five days from Monday to Friday. On Sunday, depending on conditions and your surfing level, you can hire equipment for a fee and surf independently.
Langre Bay is known for its consistently breaking waves and offers ideal conditions for beginners as well as advanced surfers. Supplementary theory lessons help you to better understand the processes and improve your surfing level in the long term.
Inclusive: 20 hours split over 5 days incl. theory & equipment for the duration of the course
Surfing is a nature sport and depends on weather and wave conditions – all courses are therefore weather-dependent.
Beginner | Basic
Perfect for beginners who want to learn how to surf from scratch. You’ll start with the basics – from paddling correctly to taking off and riding the wave safely.
Goal: standing up safely and taking your first controlled rides on the green wave.
Intermediate
For anyone who has already gained some surfing experience and would like to further develop their skills. You will build on your existing knowledge, work specifically on technique, timing and positioning, and learn how to surf green waves in a controlled manner and perform your first turns.
Advanced
This course is aimed at experienced surfers who are confident in shoulder-high waves. The focus is on manoeuvres, refining technique and reading the waves. Early morning and sunset sessions ensure additional quality time in the water.
Please note: The advanced course will only take place if there are enough participants, otherwise training will be combined with the intermediate course.
Surf team & safety
Our international surfing team consists of experienced, licensed coaches (DWV, ISA, FES TD1/TD2) who regularly participate in further training courses. All surf instructors also have beach lifeguard training.
Your safety is our top priority: we work with a maximum ratio of 1 coach to 8 participants, conduct a joint warm-up and use softboards to minimise the risk of injury.
Equipment
We will provide you with a board and wetsuit in the appropriate size for the course duration.
Beginners can also use the equipment outside of course hours after the third day of the course, subject to a fee and depending on the coaches’ assessment. Advanced surfers may also surf independently from the first day of the course, subject to a fee, provided they are confident in using the equipment.
Optional: various surfboards and wetsuits can be booked on site, €90 p.p..
Activities
Our surf camp is not just about surfing. In addition to the sessions in the water, you can expect a varied programme of exercise, creativity, shared experiences and relaxing moments. Whether you’re an adrenaline junkie, a foodie, a sun worshipper or a team player – you decide what you feel like doing!
Community & Camp life
Shared experiences are simply part of the Liquid Surfcamp experience. Play a round of beach volleyball, try your hand at surfskating, take a look behind the scenes at regional shaper Kuntiqi, or relax in the chill-out area with sea views. For those who like to get creative, there are workshops and DIY evenings where you can try out new things or simply switch off.
In the evenings, sangria nights and communal barbecues create a relaxed atmosphere, good conversation and a real camp feeling.

Day trips & surroundings

A highlight is a trip to Santander: the coastal city is easily accessible by ferry from the neighbouring town of Somo. There you will find restaurants, bars, a cathedral and lively nightlife.
It is also worth taking trips to places such as Santillana del Mar or the student town of Comillas, which delight visitors with their history, architecture and Spanish flair.

Arrival and departure are exclusively on Saturdays. Surf courses start on Mondays.
Check-in: from 4 p.m. (also possible outside regular hours on request)

Surfexpress – get there relaxed with others
With our Surfexpress, you can travel comfortably and stress-free directly to the camp. In a comfortable coach, you will start your surfing holiday together with other guests, get to know each other on the way and arrive completely relaxed – without having to search for a parking space or hire a car. The Surfexpress is not only uncomplicated, but also the more sustainable alternative to travelling individually by car or plane. Places are limited, so it is worth booking early.
The Surfexpress journey starts on Friday morning in Dortmund, with a minimum of 20 participants required. The overnight journey takes you first to Moliets in France. You arrive there on Saturday morning and have several hours to relax on the beach before continuing your journey to Spain on Saturday afternoon. You reach Langre in the early evening via Zarautz. The return journey starts on Saturday morning, also with stops in Zarautz and Moliets, so that you arrive back in Germany on Sunday afternoon.
Arrival by plane or car
Alternatively, you can make your own way there by car or plane. Direct flights to Bilbao are available with Lufthansa, Eurowings or EasyJet, for example.
Airport transfer
On request, we are happy to organise a transfer from the airport to the surf house and back. Payment is made on site and is divided among the number of passengers.
