While the tents in their winter home, the containers on the French Atlantic coast, are waiting to be used in May, the Wavetours office in Hamburg is busy preparing for the 2018 season. In addition to the work of the marketing and booking department, this inevitably includes personnel management. This is why the Wavetours personnel department, together with some France camp leaders, met for the second time this winter near Kassel to screen and train new staff for the France camps.
The Wavetours personnel staff had time from Thursday to Sunday to properly prepare the applicants for the summer season in France and camp life. Many of the participants had already gained plenty of surf camp experience as guests. This made it all the more interesting for 22-year-old Lea, for example, to get a glimpse behind the scenes of work in the surf camp. “I have already had the opportunity to spend time in the camp in St. Girons Plage both as a guest and as a bus supervisor. Within a very short time, I picked up the surf camp vibes and quickly knew that I wanted to work for Wavetours for a longer period of time. That’s why I’m particularly excited to be working as a team member in France this summer!”, says the student from Darmstadt.
We are now well prepared and are looking forward to the 2018 season!
