The Wavetours GmbH was founded in 1993. Ever since, we have organized and carried out surf camps along the French Atlantic Coast (Moliets, Mimizan, Vieux Boucau and Seignosse).

In 1994, our agency started offering surf trips to Fuerteventura, and ever since more than 20 other destinations in different parts of the world have followed. In 2000, we successfully introduced the first advanced courses which, in 2004, were replaced by the three-step course system (beginners, intermediates, advanced). Since 2004 the Wavetours GmbH has been organizing and carrying out the ADH Open (German Students' Championship) at Seignosse, France. It has become Germany's major surf contest (2005: 223 participants from 32 universities, 2006: 264 participants from 36 universities, 2007: 180 participants from over 50 universities.)

Every year, a total of 1500 participants come to our camps in France alone. In 2003, our e-commerce subsidiary, the virtual surf shop "Stokeshop", was introduced as a further service, selling everything connected to surfing. In 2005 our first "Kids on Board" courses took place. By now, Seignosse has been customized to fulfil a family's every need and it has many regular customers. Since the end of 2006 we are also able to process flight queries - another major step on the way to turning into a full-service agency.
