Accommodation The isobar lodge is situated in Taupo Bay, a pristine and quiet bay on the east coast in the far north of the North Island. Tim’s lodge is only 500ft from the beach. The social centre of the house is a spacious living-room with an open plan kitchen and dining area, surrounded by sundecks. Relaxing in the sun, you will have a great view of the cliffs. On the upper level of the lodge you will find the six-bed dormitory, a double and a twin room. Bathroom and laundry are downstairs. A little river passes the premises. This is where you will find our comfortable chill area - the perfect place to have BBQ’s and drink a couple of cold beers while watching the sun disappear behind the hills. Meals Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included. As you will be surfing all day, you will need rich and healthy food which Tim provides by using mainly organic veggies and other produce from local sources. You will never forget Tim’s BBQ’s.
Arrival and Deparature Your Destination is Auckland airport or Keri Keri airport. Then, hop on one of the national buses which link all of New Zealand. We can recommend the Northliner Bus from Auckland to Manganui which can also be booked online (www.northliner.co.nz). Tim will pick you up from Manganui (about 15 minutes from the camp) for free.
