Accommodation
Although the former fishing village has already seen quite a few
tourists, it is not what you would call ‘touristy’ as of yet. There are 2-3
larger hotels, however, they do not dominate the townscape. The town itself is
located between the jungle and the ocean. Here you will find all that you need
– shops, supermarkets, bars, restaurants, doctors and also a proper nightlife.
Hikkaduwa, located on the south-western end of the island, is about 110 miles from
the capital city.
You will be staying at our beachfront hotel literally at the beach – as
close to the beloved waves as you can get. Its newly equipped double rooms have
a double bed, fan and private bathroom with shower and toilet.
Meals
The healthy and varied Singhalese cuisine offers everything your heart
desires. No wonder it is popular all over the world. The cooks get all
ingredients first hand and use only fresh fruit/ vegetables and daily fresh
fish. Still, if you do not want to go without western food, you will also be
able to get burgers, pizza or spaghetti.
