Intro
Northern Portugal is the perfect location for an unrivalled surf experience. The coast is constantly blessed with good swells and the area here is one of the best surf spots in Europe due to the empty line-ups, few surfers - many waves. Traditions and culture are still present in the Portuguese lifestyle. Only few surf tourists have discovered Northern Portugal. Hence it is so different from the south where you will find a lot more surfers in the water. Our camp is located 15 miles south of Porto in the small fishing village of Cortegaça.

Due to the camp's proximity to Porto, the metropole situated on the banks of the Douro River, you can switch between two different worlds within half an hour, getting the best out of both. Half an hour south of Cortegaça you find the nice city of Aveiro, that due to its many channels, is also known as the Venice of Portugal

To our multilingual (German, English, Portuguese, etc.) Portuguese camp leader Miguel it is very important to convey an authentic impression of his country's culture and traditions. Therefore, he will take you to wine tasting sessions or trips to a genuine Portuguese market in the region.

Owing to its geographical position, the coastline between Porto and Aveiro is predestined to pick up swells arriving from many different directions. That is why surfers of all proficiency levels have various spots to choose from. Our camp leader Miguel grew up in the area and therefore he knows exactly which spot is pumping in which conditions.

Course: 1 week of course (20h / 5 days a week), including theory lessons, equipment, video analysis and transfer to various spots in the area

Arrival and Departure: Porto Airport. Transfer from and to the airport is available (additional charge £20 per person and transfer if you are travelling alone and £10 per person and transfer for groups)
