The Course
Our courses are divided into beginners, intermediate and advanced courses. They all follow an established, methodical step-by-step approach to learn surfing. You have the choice between one-week courses during early and post season, and two-weeks courses during high season. If you book a one-week course you will have the option to stay for an additional week. The one-week courses lessons will be held from Sunday to Friday. The two-week courses lessons will be held from Sunday to Thursday of the second week with a day off on the weekend in-between.
Beginners Course: In our beginners course you will receive 3-4 hours of practical lessons per day and you will learn all worth knowing about surfing. The practical lessons will be complemented by theoretical lessons of about 30-60 minutes and a video analysis to improve your surfing.
Aim of the course: Takeoff and green wave selection.
Intermediate Course: You’ve already completed a beginners course. Of course, you're totally stoked and longing to continue. If you don’t feel like an advanced surfer just yet, our intermediate program is made for you. The intermediate courses continue on from your individual level and brush up your knowledge. More detailed practical and theoretical lessons help you become a more independent surfer.
Aim of the course: green wave takeoffs and first turns.
Advanced Course: Prerequisites are a good understanding of safe surf etiquette in waves up to 5ft and green wave takeoffs. The advanced course helps you give your performance curve the right kick and learn new moves. It is completed by early morning sessions and sunset surfs. Together, we will define further individual aims at the beginning of the course.
Equipment
We will provide you with equipment during the course. You will each receive a surfboard and an appropriate wetsuit. Our school boards include the whole range of BIC, NSP and Southpoint boards. During one-week beginners courses, the equipment will only be at your disposal during lessons. During the second week of two-week courses you can freely dispose of our equipment after consulting your surf coach. During intermediate and advanced courses you can generally dispose of our equipment at any time, provided you discussed this with your coach beforehand. Moreover, there is a test pool of boards so you can try out different surfboard sizes and shapes.
Team
Our team consists of German and international surf coaches. Our surf coaches and assistants have been trained by national and international surfing associations. They bring in their years of surfing experience from trips all around the globe to the Wavetours Camp.
